Choose a MAPEI repair mortar, then enter the repair area and the average depth. Add a repair for each mortar, area or depth on the job; we'll total the volume and bags for each mortar on one sheet.
Vertical and overhead repair mortar. Yield 0.46 cu ft per bag; 1/16" to 4" (Up to 2" overhead).
Add a repair for each area, depth or mortar on the job. Tip: you can type fractions like 1/2 or 1 1/4, or decimals like 0.75.
MAPEI mortar needed
Pick a mortar, then enter the repair area and average depth. Add another repair for each different mortar, area or depth.
Estimates only. Yields are from MAPEI's published product literature. Actual usage depends on the true repair depth, surface profile, formwork and placement method, so measure carefully and allow for waste. Confirm application limits on the MAPEI technical data sheet.
Not sure which mortar fits the repair? Ask our team.
Corrosion protection
Patching over corroding steel isn't the end of it: rust can keep working around the edges of a new repair and start the next spall. Clean the steel, protect it with Mapefer 1K and Mapeshield I zinc anodes as the design calls for, then place the repair mortar.

Mapeshield I
Pure zinc galvanic anodes
Sacrificial zinc anodes tied to the reinforcing steel at the edge of a repair. The zinc corrodes instead of the rebar, helping stop new corrosion around the edges of patches. For existing structures with chloride-induced corrosion and new elements exposed to chlorides.
- Six sizes: 70, 105, 10/10, 10/20, 30/10, 30/20 (70 to 450 g of zinc)
- Spacing from about 8" to 40" on center, by steel density (see the selection matrix)
- Works with concrete and repair mortars up to 100 kΩ; no special low-resistivity mortar
- Do not use with epoxy or polyurethane repair mortars

Mapefer 1K
Corrosion-inhibiting coating for reinforcing steel
One-component, cementitious rebar coating with corrosion inhibitors. Brushed onto exposed steel after it is cleaned to near-white metal, before the repair mortar goes on.
- 10 lb bag (2 per carton); mix with 1 to 1.2 qts of water
- Two brush coats of 1/32" (2 to 24 hours apart)
- About 15 to 18 sq ft per bag flat, or 45 lf of #4 / 30 lf of #5 / 22 lf of #8 bar
- Repair mortar after 6 hours (73°F) and up to 14 days later; 45°F to 95°F
Mapefer 1K and anode calculator
Bags of Mapefer 1K from the bar you'll coat, and anodes and cartons from your patch sizes, anode and steel density, using MAPEI's data sheet coverage and spacing.
Mapefer 1K rebar coating
Linear feet of exposed bar to coat, by bar size (two 1/32" coats, MAPEI's coverage per 10 lb bag). Leave blank if you're not using it.
Flat surfaces use 15 sq ft per bag, the low end of MAPEI's 15 to 18. Bar sizes #4 to #8 are in MAPEI's table; for other sizes, ask our team.
Mapeshield I galvanic anodes
About 0.33 sq ft of steel per sq ft of concrete. Use 0.6 in MAPEI's table (rounded up, for closer spacing).
Our quick estimate, not MAPEI's: bar surface area (pi x bar diameter / spacing) for each direction and mat that the anodes connect to. The engineer of record has the final say.
Anodes go around the perimeter of each patch. Enter each patch size once, with how many of that size.
Corrosion protection needed
Enter linear feet of bar for Mapefer 1K, and patch sizes or runs for the Mapeshield I anodes.
Pick a Pecora sealant, then enter each joint size and its total length. Add more rows if the job has joints of different sizes.
Pick a product to see only the package sizes it comes in.
Joint depth is set at half the width, at least 1/4" (Pecora's minimum) and no more than 1/2" deep. Bead diameters can be typed as fractions like 3/8 or decimals like 0.375.
Estimated material
Enter a joint size and length to see how much sealant you need.
Estimates only. Actual usage depends on the joint profile, backer rod placement, tooling and site conditions. Always confirm joint design and coverage with the manufacturer's product data sheet.
Working with Pecora sealants? Pecora also offers its own sealant calculator, including primer coverage.
Pick the silicone air barrier or the silicone waterproofing coating, then enter the area. Add joint, opening and flashing lengths to include the Elemax accessories.
Coverage rates are from Momentive's current GE silicone data sheets, using the low end of each range. A mockup on the actual substrate sets the real rate.
GE silicone material needed
Pick a system and enter the area to see the material needed.
Estimates only. Actual usage depends on the substrate, application equipment, detailing and site conditions. Momentive recommends a mockup to set the coverage rate. Always confirm with Momentive's current data sheets and specifications.
Stop leaking cracks and joints in basements, tunnels, vaults, parking structures and foundations. Pick the De Neef resin, enter the cracks, then check the installation accessories before you add it to your cart.
Resin
Best for: Leaking cracks 0.02" and wider; moving and non-moving joints, above or below grade. Flexible gasket-like foam (100% elongation); up to 18x free expansion.
End of reaction about 5'35" at 77°F (2%). Catalyze only what you can inject in 1 to 2 hours.
Leaking cracks and joints
Enter each crack or joint (or a group of similar ones as one total length).
Packers and pump
TB-0055: drill at 45° from alternating sides of the crack, set back half the wall thickness so the hole meets the crack at mid-depth; closer spacing for narrower cracks. Our default spacing is 6" for hairline, 8" up to 1/16" and 12" for wider cracks; adjust to what you see.
GCP doesn't publish resin per foot. Our planning math: the crack itself (length x thickness x the top of the width range) plus the drill holes, then this allowance for honeycombing, voids and resin that travels behind the wall. Raise it for poor concrete or active water.
Injection material needed
Pick a resin and enter the length of the leaking cracks to see the material needed.
Installation accessories: check before you add to cart
Everything an injection job needs besides the resin. The first three are figured from your job; tick anything else you need and set the quantity.
